WHAT WE DO

We work to educate, empower and support comunity members, volunteers and leaders to build the capacity of community-focused organizations, who are making a difference in their communities!

We believe that community partnerships are the key to achieving our charitable goals. By partnering with like-minded organizations, we can help make a difference in communities on a grassroots level.

WAYS WE SUPPORT COMMUNITY

WORK WITH US

Work with us to empower vibrant and resilient communities through volunteerism, education, environmental stewardship and accessible public spaces.

We are always looking for like-minded organizations, who support our charitable objects! If your organization works in an area that supports our charitable objects, and you would like a partnership to leverage The Calgary Foundation Neighbour Grants funding, please reach out.

We might just be the partner you’ve been looking for.

OUR FUNDERS

The Friends of the Federation are generously supported by

Founded by the Friends of the Federation in partnership with the Government of Alberta, and Sport Calgary, Board Leadership Calgary is an annual learning day event focused on supporting board members of non-profit orgaizations.

This full-day learning event provides a variety of sessions and networking opportunities addressing non-profit fundamentals and best practices. .

Working with the Federation and its members, we created the Engagement Toolkit to encourage community volunteerism, and improve how non-profit organizations proactively involve residents in community-driven initiatives. This toolkit offers practical strategies to develop healthier communities.

Together, we build strong communities.

The Friends of the Federation empowers neighbourhood volunteers, fuels local projects, and helps make Calgary a better place to live, work, and play.

Support the Friends through Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by Altalink, and your donation will be matched up to 50%
